DAY 01 - Arrival & Baku city tour
  • Proceed to the Old City or Inner City, which is the historical core of Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan. The Old City is the most ancient part of Baku, which is surrounded by walls were well protected. In 2007, the Old City had a population of about 3000 people. In December 2000, the Old City of Baku, including the Palace of the Shirvanshahs and Maiden Tower, became the first location in Azerbaijan to be classified as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
  • After Old City, guests will experience the happening street of Nizami Street, known for shopping. The street’s history could be traced back to Baku’s town-planning project of 1864. The street runs through the city’s downtown from west to east. It begins from Abdulla ShaigStreet, in the mountainous part of the city, and ends atthe  railroad bed on SabitOrujov Street, near a monument to Shah Ismail Khatai in “Black City”. Total length of the street is 3,538 m.
  • Fountains Square is a public square in downtown Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan. The square was previously called Parapetand is often referenced by the same name now. The name of the Fountains Square derives from the presence of dozens of fountains throughout the square, first constructed during the Soviet rule of Azerbaijan. The square is a public gathering place, especially after business hours and during the weekend.
  • Visit to the charming example of modern architecture – The HeydarAliyev Center – a 57,500 m2 building complex in Baku, Azerbaijan, designed by Iraqi-British architect ZahaHadid and noted for its distinctive architecture and flowing, curved style that eschews sharp angles. The center is named after HeydarAliyev, the first secretary of Soviet Azerbaijan from 1969 to 1982, and president of the Azerbaijan Republicfrom October 1993 to October 2003.

  • Nohur Lake-It is located in Qabala, another region of Azerbaijan that one passes when travelling to Sheki. Lake is not on the way but if you go a bit deeper towards the mountains this beautiful view opens up in front of you those who are going through this difficult path await a mysterious panorama. There is also a restaurant and a tea house. The waterfall is always dark and cool because it is located in a dense forest that is not affected by the sun’s rays.
  • YeddiGozel (Seven beauties) waterfalls in Gabala, one of the most popular tourist destinations in Gabala, are located 6 kilometers from Vandam village and 3 km from the main track over Puskan.Here, water from various ravines forms a seven-step waterfall. Only two small waterfalls are visible below. To look at the other five waterfalls, you have to climb up the stairs, which requires some physical strength. However, those who are going through this difficult path await a mysterious panorama. There is also a restaurant and a tea house. The waterfall is always dark and cool because it is located in a dense forest that is not affected by the sun’s rays.

  • Proceed to Ateshgahtour (Fire Worshippers Temple) Based on Persian and Indian inscriptions, the temple was used as a Hindu and Zoroastrian place of worship.  “Atash» is the Persian word for fire. The pentagonal complex , which has a courtyard surrounded by cells for monks and a tetra pillar-altar in the middle, was built during the 17th and 18th centuries.
  • Trip to “Fire Mountain “-“Yanardag” -a mountain on Absheronpeninsula , 25 km from north of Baku.Literally, the word “Yanardag” means “Blazing mountain”. Blazing bodies of flame dance on stones and the floor. Yanar Dag is a natural gas fire that blazes continuously on a hillside on the Absheron Peninsula on the Caspian Sea near Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, which itself is known as the “land of fire.”
  • Proceed to the evening city view tour with a car
  • Visit to Highland Park-Alley of Martyrs, The National Assembly- also transliterated as MilliMajlis, Flame towers- the tallest skyscraper in Baku.
  • Later, you will visit the Baku Crystal Hall – an indoor arena in Baku, Azerbaijan. Located on the coast of Baku near the National Flag Square, construction of the arena began in August 2011 and finished in April 2012—in time for it to host its first major event, the 2012 edition of the Eurovision Song Contest
  • Walking through Baku Boulevard, which stretches along a south-facing bay on the Caspian Sea. It traditionally starts at Freedom Squar,e continuing west to the Old City and beyond. Since 2012, the YeniBulvar (New Boulevard) has virtually doubled its length to 3.75 km

Shahdag tour & en route Quba (laza not possible)

  • This ski resort is the first and biggest ski resort located in the Gusar district near Shahdag National Park. Gusar region is located in the southern part of Azerbaijan and bounds with Russia. Gusar region is covered by forests and is very rich in its flora and fauna.
  • In this ski resort, there are a lot of hotels, golf clubs, ski resorts, and cottages.TheShahdag Mountain Resort Complex was open to the public in 2012. It is located in the Azerbaijan’s Greater Caucasusrange, the site is located near Shahdag National Park

  • Guba is a small city located in the Quba-Khachmaz district of Azerbaijan on the north-eastern slopes of Shahdag ridge, about 168 km away from Baku

This is the highest and most isolated settlement in the Greater Caucasus mountain range, located on the border with Dagestan, 63 km from Quba.
